Audition applications to join ORB Youth Dance Co. starting in autumn 2025 are now open.
ORB Youth Dance Co. is a thriving, professionally-focused performance company dedicated to delivering physically demanding, high-quality, contemporary-based dance training and performance opportunities for aspiring dance artists from across Hampshire at our home, The Point, Eastleigh.

ORB Youth Dance Co. creates safe learning spaces where everyone is valued and welcomed. We believe in nurturing and celebrating individuality and igniting young, fearless, creative artistic voices. At ORB Youth Dance Co., you are immersed in exciting, creative and choreographic processes as we develop new performance work, which tours throughout the year.
The Audition
The ORB audition will run like a standard ORB session, led by Luke Brown (Artistic Director) and Olivia Wallis Jackson (Rehearsal Director). We run the audition in this relaxed environment to ensure we get the best sense of your dancing ability and personality in the short time we have together.
Please note that the audition process does not include cuts, and we would like you to stay until the end.
The audition is three hours long and will consist of:
- A warm-up and contemporary technique class which will involve floor-based material
- Learning a contact duet from the ORB repertoire
- Participating in group contact exercises
- Learning material from the current ORB repertoire
We’re looking for committed dancers who can showcase individuality while still being able to work collaboratively with others compassionately and kindly. Having some technical skills is desired, but even if you’re starting out, we want to see that you’re committed to putting in the hard work to grow those skills.
Every applicant will be invited to audition for ORB Youth Dance Co. We encourage applicants of all dance backgrounds and genres to complete the Google Form below.
